2009 Kawasaki Backfiring Problem

I am having a problem with my bike backfiring on deceleration, put new plugs in, checked for exhaust leaks and I am running 93 octane fuel (No ethanol)

 

Any other ideas?

Jetted too rich? Or fuel screw too righ?

Its fuel injected, not sure how I would change the fuel metering if that is the problem.  Any comments would be awesome.

Lean FI or exhaust leak or really bad packing in the silencer is all I can think of

 

my 09' has a full FMF system on it and I get just a little/slight poping on decel

 

have not had access to a Tuner to richen it up a bit but runs great

my 09 just started doing it too, what did you find was the problem if you did? I am kind of leaning toward bad packing in the silencer but would like some more info before i tear into it.

Mine is slight popping on decel only

 

very minimal so I have done nothing so far

Mine was doing it slightly but is ramping up quickly. I will try repacking the silencer and post the results

Re-packaged the muffler tonight. Started it on the trailer and still seems to have the backfire problem. Will ride tomorrow to see if it any better.

I put in white coupler and run av gas it does it very lite on decell some times.

I'm putting on fmf 4.1 slipping today should clean it all up.

I still have a little backfire

I took the backfire screen out put on the fmf slipon cleaned it up bikes an animal every so often it backfires low just a little pop nothing to worry about I think a remapping will help a lot.

Check the head pipe fitment to the head.  Mine was leaking there making it backfire. You can hold your hand up and see.
