chain lube for master link

I have a DID 520 o-ring chain on my yz250f. I recently lubed the chain with motul chain lube and since then it has been impossible to clean the dirt that is stuck to the chain. I decided to remove the chain and clean it in Kerosene. When I removed the master link I noticed there is grease inside the link (held in there by the o-rings). There was so much dirt I had to clean the master link as well and now there's no grease left on it. My question is what type of grease do I use on the master link when I re-connect the chain? Thanks. If anyone is wondering, yes, I am new to dirt bike maintenance in general. I have attached a picture as well.

I use waterproof silicone grease , but any high temp. axle grease will work .

That's what I was thinking, but didn't know. I usually rivet.

Depending on the condition of the chain , I always use a new master link ( clip type ) , when I remove it .

My point is , down fit a worn clip .
