Virginia New To Kingsport, TN Riding, Racing, Harescrambles, Enduros

Hello,

 

I'm looking for information on riding and racing cross country near Kingsport, TN.

 

I will be moving to Kingsport, TN September 1st. 

 

My goal is to get to know some other riders before I move to the area to learn as much as I can, and get to know some people in the area before hand.

 

I am a student currently and will be there from September til Febuary, and possibly returning in May. 

 

I plan to bring my bike with, it goes everywhere with me.  I ride and race D23 and D16 harescrambles and enduros and have gotten to know a whole community of awesome riders between both districts.  I'd really like to expand this community when I move to Kingsport.  Dirtbiking is a huge passion in my life and I have gotten into the sport on my own and it's been an adventure!!  And I'm headed on my next adventure moving from Wisconsin to TN, and plan to get to know the area and people through dirtbiking.

 

If you have any information, know anyone in the area, or advice on getting involved with a club etc I would truely appreciate it!

A quick search turned up http://www.volunteerriders.com. You can also check out these guys http://mountaintrailriders.org which are in the tri cities area and much closer than Knoxville. Looks like lots of racing in Virginia, Tennessee and in NC (where I live) and all within a short drive from kingsport.
