Help clunk in suspension

Recommended Posts

Hey I recently rebuilt my front and rear suspension with race tech. I had my dad help me he has built many shocks and has experience. Well when I went to ride tonight the compression on the forks worked great which meant the shims where correct but my front forks would make a bad clunk noise when the front wheel would come off the ground or when the forks extended. I can create the noise when just sitting on the bike and lifting up hard on the handle bars. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Is this on a Chinese bike? Might help if people knew what you have. Conventional forks, upside down, cartridge forks, open chamber...... Yada yada.

Rebound adjuster not connected to dampner rod or fork spring pinched/stuck at bottom of tube due to wrong fork guard fasteners (too long) crushing onto spring. Arectwo things that come to mind.
