I tried the Alpinestars Tech 3. Very uncomfortable for me.

The fox's run a size small if you decide to get them.

I use these boots for everything. After breaking 2 toes with a set of the cheaper boots I wouldn't wear anything less protective than these. Might be too much if mostly on road but any one you get make sure it has ankle protection. Nothing will compare to a broken ankle.

I agree with you . Get all the protection you can . I wear my AStar Tech 8's for everything but commuting to and from work . I probably should though . That's when I deal with the most dangerous driving conditions . Small city traffic , in a city full of uninsured motorists who don't know or just plain ignore the rules of the road . I feel Naked without my riding gear . Weekends street riding in SM trim I gear up as if I was headed to the track .

Yeah it's easier to put a pair of sneakers in a backpack than walk in a cast. With everyone on cell phones I wish I was wrapped in bubble wrap. At least most times we see them before they crush us.

I had an older pair, the BUCKLES were terrible!

personally I would never spend less then $200 on a pair of boots, I have gone through 3 pairs of sub $200 boots and they were trash. I have a Gaerne boots now… they are decent, but some sidis or tech 5or 8 will probably be my next set.
