From the pics the 250 looks more honest. The 450, just has a rough look to the cases, exhaust and the frame and plastics tarted up?

Do you know the hours on both?

The 2006 250 has been rebuilt and has an hour counter fitted with 4 hours on it .

The 450 supposedly was rebuilt last year and only been used around 6 times since .

To be honest (and this is just me) I'd prefer the 250.

Its ready to go, no messing around and has spares.

The 450 needs work, and is old enough to have issues as well.

Yeh am hearing you fella .

Used to own a big Steve Ramon thumper 450 sx , loved that bike but in a mad moment sold it and bought a honda cr 250 ,

Struggled to control the acceleration of it compared to the thumper .

But was easier to maintain .

250! 250! 250!

That 450 has issues!

Looks like frame damage or has been pieced together!

250 only. The deal looks honest and well cared for.

Happy riding.

This is an easy one. If you honestly don't have a preference as far as 2T or 4T, the 250 is the better choice. The owner obviously has cared for this bike, and has everything needed to maintain it. He has shop manuals, sprockets, oil, gaskets….it's a no brainer. Go with 250.

This time tomorrow I should have my new ride smile.gif
Just got to navigate through my final Nightshift then a wee road trip of 190 miles in total.

And I should have a new Smoker to hit the track and trails with thumbs.gif
