Good bike for an older man?

Recommended Posts

I finally talked my dad into riding again. He raced for about 30 years until his last race in 1992 which ended in 2 total knee replacements. He rides here and there, just my bike around the track once or twice. He's ready to get a new bike but we're not sure what to get. Details-

Height- 5'7

aggressive on bike- 3/10

Mostly trail riding

No more racing

Preferabley a 2 stroke but fine with a four stroke

Plan on spending no maker than 1.5k, getting a hard bike.

69 years old

Thanks for all the help!

Kdx 200 or 220 sounds like it would fit the bill. Can't rule out a yz250 either.

I bet he would be happy with a wr250f or crf250x if he was willing to go with a thumper.

He's still kicking haha. The WR was no good, and we're now looking into 230s. My main concern is him having parkinsons and not being too stable on the bike.

Holy crap, 69yrs old and parkinsons!?! Something with electric start for sure and stay close with him when you ride. Good for you for looking out for pops.
