engine ice is already mixed 50/50 with water. it's antifreeze pre-mixed 50/50 with water. it's propylene glycol instead of the more popular ethylene glycol. the main difference is that PG is less toxic/environmentally hazardous. as far as cooling, PG is not quite as efficient at it as EG.

water is the best at absorbing and disipating heat but water boils at a much lower temp and bubbles do not transfer heat otherwise we would all still be on air cooled bikes. 

This is why you need Water Wetter. It breaks down the surface tension of water and helps prohibit bubbles from forming.

yep.

if you got that route (i do in summer), use distilled water (no minerals to build up and clog the tiny passages in the radiator) and add a little bit of water wetter (for corrosion protection and surfactant properties).

 

 

This is what I run year round.

 

Of course I do live in Florida...:D
