250 xcfw bog after jd jetting kit

Put a jd kit in my 2011 ktm 250 xcfw. For example, when I'm coming out of a corner and then punch the gas I am getting a bog. 185 main, 4th clip, 50 leak jet (pretty sure). Played around with the needle because it's the easiest to get at, no luck. Any ideas?

Swap that main for a smaller. Doesn't take long and that will tell you what direction to take the main to. Does sound like the main needs to change if changing needle height hasn't worked. Did kit include shims to raise needle a hair??

A JD Kit is a rough starting point.

You have not addressed the accelerator pump either.....

 

Put in a Tokyo mods pump spring upgrade

 

Needle will have no effect

The stock AC pump fuel squirt (#50 leak jet) on my '08 HTR 350 XCF-W was almost perfect from the factory, i.e. slightly less than one second squirt albeit a little weak. The 'O-ring mod' made it perfect with absolutely zero bog under normal riding conditions.

Tried a 180 and it seems worse. I'll try going bigger now

You have to lift up the subframe and verify the squirt distance (diaphragm type) , duration (leak jet size), and timing (screw on linkage)

 

 All the way into the head, for one second, always just barely missing the slide.

i had a 2007 250 xcf a few years back. the JD kit was terrible, i ended up taking it to a local shop, i think he went to a 45 pilot and 175 main jet.
