So I bought a pair of mx boots. I got them real cheap because the left boot was one 1/2 size smaller and the dealer got them at an auction cheap so....today went to use them and realized that, although they looked identical on the outside, the bottom of the left boot was rugged and the right boot was smooth. Atv boot and a mx boot perhaps? Anyways, I'm driving down the road and realize my boot barely fits under the shifter and my foot cant slide on the peg because of the rough sole. I decided to loosen the shifter and raise it a little but it hits the front sprocket guard. Ive noticed msr makes a shifter that is 1" longer. I wonder if this is my solution. Thoughts?

Sounds like a good solution.  ?  I may also be doing the same thing bacause my IMS foot-pegs are so much wider.

What ever you do, replace the bolt that comes with the MSR shifter before you mount it. It's made of butter.

Boots aren't broken in. Once they are you will be fine.

I wonder if I should grind down the sole of the left boot so it can slide better on the peg
