2003 cr 250 water pump help needed.

I did some dealing and traded my crf250 for a cr 250  and when I got home I noticed the engine heated up fast and the coolant wasn't moving , so I took off the water pump cover and the water pump propeller fell out. the guy told me he put a new water pump in the bike. what I need to know is what does the original propeller look like? the propeller that was on the bike has no threads but it seems to me that the propeller should have threads to bolt on to the shaft, please help!

The thread is on the water pump shaft. You just put the impeller on and fixate it with a lock nut (and a washer inbetween). See the parts catalogue for details.

I looked at the exploded view and it don't show a lock nut. im wondering if there was threads on the impeller?

Hmm, yeah, thinking about it, it could have been on the impeller actually.

The threads on the impeller are stripped. That it in the shaft. Buy a new version of whatever is stripped, then it'll be fine

yea that's what I was thinking. it just wasn't making sense to me how it would go together and stay tight without some kind of threads to keep it tight.
