Oil leak from the exhaust pipe

Hello, 

 

 

Newbie here. I have a KDX 220, two stroke. It rides good. 

 

But I notice there is oil leak from the exhaust pipe extension. I am not sure what it is I took a picture below.

My trainer tells me its because I am not riding at high RPM yet and not to worry. he says this happen when your putting around the track and not running with throttle wide open

You are bogging that thing too much two smokers will ooze goo unless you keep them rapped out.

Theres also supposed to be a rubber seal around that joint.

What does bogging mean? Does it means I am just riding slowly?

Bogging men's riding it at low rpms, two strokes like to be revved out to keep all the cobs blown out.

clean out ur carb, replace the rubber o ring/seal where its leaking from, re pack ur silencer, and re-jet (If necessary)

and bogging means: when ur not making any power, almost as if ur engine wants to cut off (low rpms)... ride a bit harder / faster... keep the revs up so u dont foul the plug.

I rode my 125 wide open throttle 24/7 and it still leaked goo. Its a 2 stroke thing

All the two strokes I've owned, or ridden have dripped a lil oil goo out the exhaust. Not a lot at all, but a lil.

Replace the rubber peace that seals the connection between the pipe and stinger. These bikes like to lug, if you run an after market exhaust, an throw the air box cover away it gets even better. You don't have to scream it's guts out, mine went faster a gear high just of the pipe.

Yes, I ride a low rpms alot. My trainer said the same thing. Its a learning process for me.

they shouldn't really if the bike set up right. You should be burning enough oil that it doesn't get goo on your exhaust

Do you think this will help the leak? It should do the same thing as the coupler.
