1995 kx125

Hey guys this is my brothers 2 stroke 1995 kx125 and there's a little box thing coming off the side of the head an leads to the bottom end? I know nothing about 2 bangers so wondering what is it? It's filthy inside. The bottom half is rubber and top half is plastic.

It's also filthy so needs a clean.

That would be your KIPS, otherwise known as the powervalve. Its common for them to get dirty if your gas has too much oil in it or your jetting is off or you never run the bike hard. It being dirty is not so much a problem, it just needs to work smoothly. Check it for operation.

Awesome ? thanks mate will let him know. Looks sort of like a power valve but I was never to sure as I'm a 4 stroke guy. Haha cheers mate ?
