Front brake problem after rebuild

Recommended Posts

Hi. I had some problems with the front brake so I rebuilt the master cylinder. I took the whole assembly out(piston, spring etc) and cleaned it and then used the compressor to get everything out.

After I had installed it I tried to pump new brake fluid from the bleed nipple at the caliper, but it didnt work. Its like theres something blocking the fluid in the master cylinder.

A week ago this worked without a problem, just opened the screw and pumped up fluid and it would raise in the master cylinder.'

Is it possible that I could have damaged the separator?
Do you need to pull the lever a little bit in to be able to push fluid to the top or can it be fully extended(no pressure on the lever)?

thx in advance

You should be able to do it with no pressure on the lever.

Yeah thats what I thought too.

considering that the piston can rotate it the angle it is fitted in shouldnt matter. So the only thing I can think of is the separator. Do you know how that work?
