Rear brake reservoir

Recommended Posts

Just bleed my rear caliper on my (new to me) 2006 S and my reservoir is old cracking and expanding. I'd like to replace it, preferably with a aluminum one, anyone have any good links to some after market options?

Everything I'm seeing is the full replacement kit, i just need the reservoir.

thanks in advance

I put a CRF rear brake master cylinder on my bike, instead of the crappy OEM one. It has an integrated reservoir and adds some extra braking power!

I did like I do on my race bike and I used a length of Tygon tubing. Looks cool, is way cheap.

I never touch my rear brake(on the road). Had my bike 6 years before I discovered the same thing: cracked EMPTY reservoir. Now that I'm riding off-road, I'm discovering the shortcomings of front-wheel-only-braking-downhill-in-loose-dirt.

yeah, front brakes can get you in trouble on loose terrain.
