Honda crf 250r 2012 50 hours A or B Piston?

Recommended Posts

Im replacing my piston and it got about 50 hours on it, The cylinder has an A on it from fabric but i see Vertex offers B piston 76.77 vs 76.76 on A piston.

i don´t see wiseco and cp or honda offer b piston sizes..

Is there really a need of a b piston in a bike with 50 hours on it?

I Really want a deeper answer of A vs B piston i mean what are the benefits / need and disadvantages?

Nice forum

Your cylinder should say whether it's an A or B cylinder.

That said, measure the bore will be your BEST answer.

the cylnder says A but that was 60 hours ago.

i cant measure the cylinder until later on.. the thing os i got an 20% COUPON and using right now to order before it goes out.

The brands that offers B piston says to use the b piston on a used cylinder.. but neither wiseco.cp piston or honda offers b pistons... wich makes me think b pistons are overkill??
