Is This Exhaust System Worth Buying?

Just wondering if this is worth buying for my DRZ400S,

 

I want a FULL system, the seller says that the header pipe isn't Yoshimura, but its "some italian company i cant remember the name of, its Stainless steel, similar to the FMF" --- Does anyone know what company that header pipe is?

He wants $200 for it which seems like a good deal to me, Any input guys?

Pretty sure the RS3 is for an E model, so it wouldn't be a direct fit to an S model but it is easily adapted.

Saw this used mrd in our area when browsing for parts. They don't show up used often. Maybe you can work the price down slightly?

Looks ok , needs to be checked for any damage or leaks , offer him $ 150-175

get an E header and compare it to whatever that header is, then mount/kludge the bigger diameter up to the tail pipe = enjoy the noise

E  header is 41 or 42mm, S/SM is 37.  If it's 41mm or bigger good to go. 37 and it's a bit choked.  FWIW

I wouldnt mind buying that MRD but hes firm at $400 and wont budge.

also, this guy told me that the exhaust came off an SM model.

Seriously? Haha, relax, just showing the OP another option that is local to him. Trying to help is all... I also said "maybe you could work him down" on the price. Maybe it would only end up being the difference of $100-150 for a much better pipe? Either way it didn't work out, no harm in asking though...

Hes right, Miracles do happen... ? LOL...  i worked the guy down to $350... paying the extra $150 seems like a much better idea.

that guy is a fool. thats a used mrd. I paid around that for mine new. and when you buy it new you get the crash protection and warranty thing...

For a used mrd 400 may seem high for sure. The OP sounds like he's getting it for $350. If it only has 3000 km on it and is in mint shape why not get it?

 

I ordered mine from Dave, and I would do it again in a heartbeat don't get me wrong. But since myself and the OP both live in Canada, the exchange rate, and shipping bring the price of the new pipe to around $600 plus waiting period. Why not pick up a lightly used mrd for $350 locally? I know I would have scooped this up if I saw this when I was in the market for a new pipe.
