help?

I just bought a 2000 cr250 and every time I'm 5th gear pinned it bogs down then revs back up and soo on. Any ideas of what it could be?

Good possibility your main jet is too rich but start with a fresh bike (air filter, plug, clean carb, etc..) before you go messing with jetting

Oh, and check the fuel flow from the tank. Could be rotten strainer or petcock.

2000 model has a PWK , main jet in it sounds too lean to me . Should be 48 pilot 180 main A715/289R jet needle. Sounds like you are hitting the kill switch while WOT is a lean condition. Pull the plug and post a pic someone can help you.

Check the float level. To low and it will act like it's running out of fuel as it sucks the float bowl dry.

Also, make sure you don't have a clogged fuel filter or petcock screen.
