Spark Plug Help

Recommended Posts

So I went to napa to get a new plug... they didn't have a ngk BR8EG but sold me a champion 8904 (or perhaps B904)  my bike seem to run hot now and spit out the radiator overflow!  I can not find any info on this plug on the champion web site, it should have more letters to reference their chart.... WTF!

Has anyone else have a champion plug issue?

Does anyone know what heat range this is compared to the BR8EG?

I run tight single track (flywheel weight, rekluse, 13/53 gear) and never had an issue before.  I know the answer is to buy the NGK, but I can not find the heat range for the champion I have

to further drop my engine temp down, would a BR9EG be better, of more pron to fouling?

THanks

Br9eg's are not hot enough and your bike will sputter and run like crap, next time at napa just get a br8es, I run them i'm my 01 250 and never had a problem. As far add champion plugs go,I have no idea

Ngk is the only way to go in these bikes. As said br8es works but will foul easier. With that said the br8es are cheap compared to the eg.
