Best xc tire

I race xc on a crf150rb and it's time for a new set of tires. I'm currently running mx51's. I encounter a lot of rocky and muddy terrain. What's the best tire for xc in your opinion?

So many choices and opinions...just have to find what works for you. MXA didn't like the MX51, fav was the m403/404 for MX/general, AT81 front, but the rear shredded for them. All the Perelli MX and XC get good reviews. I'm on a tire quest, on a tight budget and just ordered Metzeler MC5 front and MC4 rear on sale from BikeBandit. If you're racing and can stand the weight maybe Bridgestone ED, Metzeler 6 days, etc. I'm trying to trim weight and the MC4 110/100-18 rear weighs under 10lb. Older tire models are generally heavier, newer models generally lighter and stronger, supposedly.

Google around, read the reviews, DennisKirk has detailed specs on many tires, but other places have better choices overall.
