what is this pin XT350

When I was taking apart the clutch and all the other parts to split the case I found this pin around the clutch basket and did not see where it came from I wasn't to concerned thinking I would figure it out when I put it back together, nope don't have a clue and I can't seem to find on a parts diagram so anybody have a clue? It is 21.5mm long and 4.5mm diameter.

it looks a bit like a dowel. Are the crankcases doweled ?

Take a look at an on-line parts catalogue or your Service Manual.

There are a few pins in the engine:

 

Right-hand side of crankshaft.

Balance shaft drive gear damper.

Oil pump shaft.

Thanks I didn't notice the balance shaft drive gear damper I'll check when I get home from work.
