Bear in mind that when you fiddle with re-timing the exhaust cam, some compensation must be made to the auto decompression pin. The combination of cam timing and pin length controls the timing of the lifted exhaust valve being reseated at cranking speeds. Retarding the exhaust cam requires a shorter pin. Stock, the '06 seats the exhaust valve at about 26 degrees BTDC.
