Fork assembly


The manual says to screw the locknut onto the piston rod by hand, to the end of the threads. Then hold the locknut and screw the fork cap on to the spec'd torque.

At some point while screwing, the cap stops turning and the locknut comes up to meet it. Is this correct or should the locknut stay down at the end of it's threads ? If it should stay down it'd have to be alot tighter than hand-tight.



I got confirmation that this is correct from another source.

I was gonna delete the post but can't.
