Clutch still slipping after rebuild

Recommended Posts

You need a little freeplay in the lever to insure the clutch fully engages with changes in engine operating temp and handlebar position. Adjust in a little more freeplay at the lever, I aim for about a nickel's width between the perch and lever.

One fiber disc is different inner diameter cause of the spring being there first then the rest are the same size soak those fibers in oil for :10 minutes then instal fiber metal fiber metal. If it still slips when adjusted properly then your basket and pressure plate are worn out, so try putting a double old fiber in there to tighten it up! I did this on an old 1985 suzuki lt 230 and it worked like a charm. But getting neutral was a bitch if stopped. And it would slap the chain too. But it worked.
