Starting problems

Hey, so on my 98 Yamaha blaster it has a hard time starting, if it's warm I can kick start it in one kick sometimes but other times like a cold start it needs carb cleaner to start, but once it starts it's fine why is that, I cleaned the carb a few days ago please help!

Do you choke it when you start it. My yz 80 wouldn't start cold unless I choked it.

Do a compression test. Could be worn cylinder and/or rings. Crank seal leak can also cause this as they are old and stiff but get soft as engine warms up.

I just got a blaster today and its hard to start with it choked. But I don't know how is when warm because I haven't run it much. I'm going to clean the carb I notice it is dirty
