Reluctant exhaust header

After a few sweaty hours of trying to separate the header and the middle pipe on my Yoshi RS2 I decided my time was better spent making a tool to press it off.

Took about 2 hours making everything

And 10 minutes later it was off

Has anybody else had to get creative taking their exhaust apart?

My MRD comes off relatively easy.  Under 5 mins pulling on the pipe.  Just took it off like a month ago after installing it about 4 years ago.

Did you use any copper paste or something like that? The end of my header had a bunch of microgrooves on it, the PO must have installed it in a dirty garage or something, so it was on there real good.

no copper paste. metal on metal.  It was clean though.  When I put it back together it slid on somewhat easy also.  I remembered it going together a lil difficult but I was installing it in the middle of a Texas summer in garage that wasn't air conditioned.

I use anti seize on the joins , it comes apart easy .
