Washington Just Moved to TriCities area, where to ride?

Recommended Posts

Just moved from northern California to Richland, Wa. Anyone have any suggestions to go trail riding/ dual sport riding? I have already been out to the Juniper dunes and it was "OK" but hot hot hot with no shade and just a whole bunch of sand which really wasn't my preference. I may be a bit spoiled from all the great riding areas in northern California. I am looking for a more scenic area with a few trees to get a break from the heat.

Lots of mountain riding all along cascade range. Search taneum and naches for two closest to you.

Joe is right -- those two areas could keep you busy for several seasons.

A Blue Mountain trail just a bit closer is Meadow Creek Trail #3123 in the Umatilla Forest, south of Dayton, WA.

Then there is the Mt. Emily area (MERA) just outside of La Grande, OR and the Morrow County OHV park south of Heppner, OR.

You can always hit horn rapids mx park, they have groomed track and then just a ton of sand whoop trails. The crappy thing unless you travel west is that its mostly deserty

There is the Green Dot riding areas where you have your choice of Desert or Forest as well as single track once you learn where everything is.
