500 XCR Crank

Is the 500 XCR crank compatible in the 450 motor on the F&I bikes? It looks like the owner manual says they have the same bore but a different stroke?

Sorry I was referring to the 500 XC-W crank and the idea of possibly putting it in a 450 XC-W down the rd.

same crank and rod as I recall by the parts fishe, also I understand the 500 uses the 450 counterbalance, and not one specifically for the 500, would expect the 450 to have less vibes as a result. (this info was on the latest models in the last couple years parts wise).

As you stated, the 500 stroke is longer. In addition to the 500 crank, you will need the taller 500 cylinder as well.

I wonder if you could use a spacer under the block like we did for our streetbike stroker motors? I am sure cometic gaskets could cut one to match the block. Seems like a fun upgrade for the 1st rebuild.
