2005 kx250f hard to start when hot

bike starts excellent cold with no choke ever   will not run with choke on cold   valves are in spec clean air filter    after about half a lap hard riding in the woods (Harescramble style) if i stall it will not start till it cools down  7-10 min will not start with hot start pulled hand is off throttle????   please help i race vet b and cannot compete if i stall

The only other thing I can think of is jetting make sure you're jetted for the right altitude, if it's running rich it could make it hard to start hot. Good luck!

I had the same problem. What worked for me was , yank the throttle one or twice, then pull the hot start and crank it. Otherwise it was 15 or more kicks to get it fired if it did at all.
