Rm85 Powerband Help!

Hey i got a problem with my rm85 04, when im in 1st,2st it starts to bog out right before the powerband, it sounds like a rev limitor.

when in netrual i cant rev it high cause then it will do the same thing.

Hard to explain but do you guys have any idea what it can be?

I Cleaned the carb today, i chagned Silencer also Put in a new spark plug! still the same thing

I also chagnde my v-force 2 reed to the orginal, still the same thing!

You could've tightend your powervalve to much

i had a yz 85 that was cutting out like it was bainging off the rev. limiter. compression seemed ok on a test. i chased it for 3 weeks, reeds, stator, coil, carb everything i could think of. ended up doing a topend just for giggles and it went away.

Imo the compression is good, it's about the same as my friends cr85 that is running great!

But this is my first 85cc so i dont have much to compare to but the cr85

read this on a website: If you can start it cold with no choke, the pilot circuit is too rich.

it got me thinking cause my bike almost always starts 2-3 kick cold with no choke!

What u guys think could it be running to rich anywaylike suzuki son of a bitch said?

You could have a air leak causing the lean condition...

Yes, jetting is the fix if the bike is in good mechanical condition...

Crank seal, reed boot....

Best bet is to build a pressure tester and pressure test the motor... Do a search on TT on how to build one...

Me and my dad had a look at the reed boot today when putting on the carb, it's looking fine!
