need some help with bike please

Recommended Posts

Sorry if this is the wrong section. Have a 2003 yz 125 we just rebuilt. New top end, cylinder was replated by millenium. Also changed both crank seals. Got it all together and did 4 heat cycles.

Now, the bike idles fine only when the air/fuel screw is all the way in. Turn it more than a 1/4 turn out and it idles way too high. Idle screw seems to not effect it or help. Runs like crap with screw in, runs better with it out a turn or so but idles too high.

Ive tried messing with both screws and cannot find a compromise with this. Im pretty new with jetting and need some help. I did notice that the needle has a slight bend towords the tip. Any help is appreciated.

Your going to have to re-jet the bike, just like it was new....since it essentially is. Find a "jetting guide" and get to work. Here is one for the KDXs, but most two stroke bikes will use the same steps. You MUST follow ALL the steps, if you don't do one....like a fresh air filter....you'll mess it up. So make sure each step is followed.

Good luck!
