I would love to ride one to compare to my 2005. I wonder if it might not work better for my MX style (for lack of a better word).

if you are ever in pa come and give er a ride! Ive heard the 04 forks suck compared to the later years, eventually going to do an air fork conversion when i have extra cash laying around.

I have a set for an 05, not sure of the differences.

05 is different. I believe only an 03/04 125/250 clamp would work. Thanks anyways!

Thank you very much for the offer (of course it is too far away ) :)

2005 has the handlebar mounts a little wider.  Otherwise, they will work.

I have a set of 2003 stock in great shape.  Let me know if you are interested.  They should fit your '04.

Just looked into my stash; Sorry still only have the uppers (all the parts though).  PM me if interested.  Cheap if you want them.

Just curious.  At least the forks would be easie to work on.  :)

The power may be more suitable.

The head angle and all that too.

Yeah, well over a year I spent tinkering with those TC forks.  If you're running stock gearing try a 14t front sprocket, it was the single best mod I did to my 05.

No.  I just ground the stock guard.  If you want the same ratio using a 13t front sprocket (I think it's 13/48 or 49) then you need to loose a link.  YZ250 uses the same front sprocket, that's how I was able to get mine locally.

It's a completely different bike after the gearing change.
