Might want to check your hot start plunger. Sounds

like it is stuck open.Maybe it happened when you had the carb off?

Below 1500 ft and from 50 to 100F, stock jetting works very well on the 06 KX450F.

A leaking head gasket is common on the KX450F.

Also head warp is common when the run hours and engine temps have been high.

In either case, if the combustion gases go into the coolant, then the motor gets real hot because the coolant boils over.

Before the motor gets real hot, if you idle it with the radiator cap removed, you might see bubbles in the coolant, which is not normal.

If the head gasket is leaking, then when you stop the hot motor, the coolant can push back into the combustion chamber. Which then makes it near impossible to start. And you can smell coolant on the spark plug when removed.
