1987 Yamaha XT350 problems

Recommended Posts

So let me start with the work I've done. The timing chain went out while idling and so I had to replace that and rebuild the valves that were bent. Also the carb boots were torn so I had to replace those. Now that I've got it back together it starts right up and runs great. I let it warm up for 5-10 minutes(it's 75 outside), but once I try to put the choke all the way in it doesn't wanna keep running. Any suggestions?

That's what I thought, I forgot to add that I pulled the carb apart and cleaned it all out

Did u clean out the passage ways. Or u might need bigger jets

I'm not even sure what the air/idle screw would look like or where it is on the carb. Any help would be great, thanks!

Air screw is on the bottom of the carb , it may have a tamper cover which needs removing .
