Kx250 vs yz250f

Okay so I ride a 99 kx250 and my buddy rides an 06 yz250f both bikes are currently stock we were wondering witch bike should win a about a 1/2 to 3/4 mile drag on hardpack dirt

250 smoker is faster. But a really good rider on a 250f can blow the doors off of your 250 smoker

Like asking:  V6-Camero or V8-Mustang wich would do better on a quarter pipe?

Dirt bikes get up to full speed in less than 1/8 mile...so what would be the sense in two bikes holding WOT for a 1/2 mile?!?!?

It's just a straight away in a turn row that we race down some times at my farm we don't know exactly how long it is and we go half way down it just cruzing in first or second then hit it and see who pulls away from who we don't hold it at full throttle for a half a mile

i didn't even think about drag racing. Your right on that one but a 250f could beat a 250 smoker on a track.

The 250 two stroke has tons more power and torque.  That should be pretty obvious riding it.  Rider skill has very little to do with straight line acceleration.

they'll both lose. if it's enough space to burn up 3rd gear, you're freaking FLYING on a 2stroke. hardpack + 65mph, and a twitchy woods bike ? no thanks, i'd rather keep my clavicle. ;-)

Everything with wheels has and will continue to be drag raced. I drag my buddies 01 cr250 against my 04 crf 250 until it's obvious who won maybe 3-400 yards, the CR gets me every time, by about two to three bike lengths. Soon as he hits power band he pulls ahead and continues pulling me the whole way.
