Looking for a spare wheel set

Recommended Posts

My first thought was to get hold of some stock hubs.  Turn them down and lace them to some nice rims.

Does anyone here know where i could find some stock hubs?

Or does anyone have spare wheels going or anything like that?

Bike is a 2012 RMZ 250

Rocky mtn ATV has nice tusk wheel sets cheap. Only come in a 2.15 rear wheel though. Everyone I know that has gotten them said they are pretty decent. Wheels from 08-up should fit sure there is a set for sale on eBay. I laced up an 18in rim to the stock hub. I thought about getting some talon hubs. They look awesome and are really light. Once my rims get beat up I'll probably get a set.

Yeah mate Talon hubs are quite special.  I wouldn't mind taking weight into consideration with this build and aftermarket hubs tend to be heavier than stock.  I seem to recall that stock Honda hubs are the lightest and where a few companies buy these up, turn them down, re anodize (usually clear or bronze) before lacing back up to a good rim.  It's this ethos i was hoping to run with....but those prices are tempting!

Also love the look of KTM wheels,  Nice polished silver hubs, black hoops.

If i could find a rear hub to go with this then this could be tempting.  Anyone know anything about these (PRO WHEEL)?

Edit:

Found the site...its quite tempting to buy the cheap ebay hub then the rear from these guys directly.  What do you think AC?

Yep. Those are the wheels. Everyone I know that has gotten them has been happy. I doubt they are top of the line rims or lightweight, but I'd say they are equal to most stock wheels. I have also heard the Honda hubs were the lightest. There was a company TCR and some others that you sent hubs into and they would machine them.
