help finding new shim size

Recommended Posts

last couple weeks my 400e has been getting very hard to start and when in gear during decel it sounds like a pop-corn machine,  i checked my valve clerances an for the left exhaust i got .009 ∧ that lifter had a 318 shim under it right side exhaust was same, .009 an 318 shim. my left intake was .006 with a 288 shim under the lifter and right side intake was .005 with 285 shim under the lifter.

im horrible with math and am having trouble finding the new shim size- anyone care to help?

yea after going back over everything i got it sorted out an realized valves were not the issue. what happened was i lost a vaccume cap i had on my carb, soon as i saw that i felt kinda stupid with my cam shafts in hand lol. well good time to remove the auto de-comp i guess. buttoned it up an bike runs as it should
