dent in expansion chamber

thinking of buying a 2006 Rm-85, all is good except a small dent in the expansion chamber, would this make a difference to performance or anything?

If it is only a small dent, it shouldn't make any difference at all.

Is this the bike? It should be okay maybe look into replacing it down the road or getting it repaired. You can repair it by plugging the ends of the pipe, filling it with compressed air and heating it up. Check it out. For 700 euro it looks like a good deal.

yeah thats the one, thought it was decent priced myself. Ive heard that aye, never done it, but ya never know. what you think about the linkage bearing? would it need replaced straight away, or would you get away without a new one for a while?

I would replace right away. Better off getting it all sorted so you don't have anything to worry about. Might also cause the rear suspension to act strange.

I doubt that dent would do anything. MXA tested a lot of different dents on pipes and many don't have a huge effect on performance unless it's gigantic and near the exhaust port.

 

In other words, if you don't think the pipe will work at all, get a new one. If you question it, it's probably fine.
