Has anyone ever tried using this to clean the core of a silencer?

Took apart my powercore 2 today to repack it, only to find out the PO obviously never did.  There was about 2" of old packing rolling around inside the cap.

The holes in the core are pretty gunked up.  Looking for something to soak it in to help clean it without poking every hole.  Any suggestions?

i hit the silencer core with a torch. once you get the carbon lit you go stand outside like the statue of liberty until it all burns off. then hit it with a wire brush on a drill and your done. Wear a heavy leather glove for the part involving fire.

I like the idea of the oven cleaner and the wire brush on a drill.....I think I'll pass on the fire for now!!!

I was using a wire brush and carb cleaner and made progress but the above should get me where I need to be.

Thanks guys
