3x3 mod and Carb question

Recommended Posts

I was intending on getting the FCR-MX 39mm conversion kit for her, and was wondering if its still suggested to do the 3x3 mod? Would I just use the jetting from the 3x3 mod in the new carb? Or would the new carb not need to be re-jetted? Most likely a silly question, but I couldn't find much intel on it! Thanks in advance for your help guys!

Yes you will want to do the 3X3 so it can breath.

The FCR from the TT store comes jetted for the 3X3 and pipe.

Ok, so instead of buying that jet kit needed, just stick with the FCR from TT and make the cut in the air box as needed then yea?

The TT store kit has everything you need, you do not need anything else but you may want to check the boxes for the easy adjust fuel screw and short choke but not the JD jet kit, they make things a bit easier but are not required.

The TT kit is simple bolt on, there is step by step instructions in the FAQ section with pics for both the FCR and 3X3 mods.

Do not buy the FCR from anywhere else as many horror stories.

If you have jetting issues Craigo and Wisconsin are the guru's on the forum and can dial you in.
