puttering on starts

I have a 2013 kx250f that has 50 hours on it and it runs great.. the problem is when i try to practice starts it will sputter and cut out a little when i rev it high.

is this normal?   thanks

When was the last time you had taken the bike out and ran her? Give out as much info as you can to properly help ya out boss.

Are you hitting the rev limiter?

 

When you here guys on the starting line, they are not holding it wide open; they are holding it just below the rev limiter, to an rpm that they know will be max speed without wheel lofting.
