Would a kdx220 be too much for me?

Recommended Posts

I'm 5'7 140 pounds and have been riding bikes for three years. I have just come off of an rm100 and I'm ready to upgrade. Just wondering if a Kdx 220 would be too much power for me, and if they are a good bike in general.

I ride mostly enduro and trails.

Thanks

The KDX 220 is a good step up for you, but it may be a bit tall for you.

Nope, especially coming off of an rm 100, you will do just fine. You can always shave the seat if it's too tall and avoid losing any suspension performance that you would with lowering links or having your suspension lowered with spacers.

You could also look into a ktm 200 if you intend on racing, but it will be snappier.

If it's not too tall, you should be fine. They make power comparable to a 125 but with a bit more torque. I'm 5'9 and the seat height is fine for me.
