X Ring Chain Countershaft Spacer?

Recommended Posts

I have a 08 kx250f and I'm changing the stock chain and sprockets for the first time. I'm going to buy a x ring chain, do I need to buy this spacer so the chain doesn't rub on the case?

I don't know, but I'll try. A X ring is < 1/16". Do you have >1/16" between your existing pin ends and the case? Also, wouldn't the spacer through the sprockets slightly out of alignment?

Yeah, this....I'd think you need to widen out the chain guide more than anything (use washers or "something" to make the guide wider).
