Motocross Pourcel 2015

Recommended Posts

There will be a spot at Kawi, a spot at TwoTwo, a spot at RCH, maybe a spot at Yosh

I think one of them should definitely sign him.

Yamaha is 100% behind him and if ther. is one available,  he will get it.

Watson will never let him ride at RCH

I said rider, not racer. As a pure rider, he has no equal.

But how would you judge riding then? Because most everybody else decides the best rider by racing... Just don't get the best "rider" deal

He turns the fastest laps in practice every week while riding hard the least. That's because a difficult track is easier for him to figure out than other riders. He needs to get in better shape. He has built on his fitness all year but if he was in the same shape as Jeremy Martin, he'd beat him every week.

but his body wont let him train like the top riders and he'll never be able to obtain that level of fitness due to injuries.  there is nothing he can do about that

That's not true. He just hasn't raced very much in the past 4 years and needed a season to get back into racing shape.

Because he wanted more money than anyone was willing to pay and then he quit the team that did give him a ride

Then he quit while in Europe

Now he's just riding for a check IMO

You have used the exact same logic every Stewart swinger has used over the years to apologize for your boys lack of results. He's the best rider, but not the best racer. He just needs to be in better shape, then he'd be beating everyone every week. He sees the track better and can figure it out better than everyone else...blah, blah, blah. And yet, with all his amazing skills he has been beaten consistently and soundly most of the season by several different riders.

Being the best "rider" in a sport measured by results, namely racing, amounts to nothing even if it were true. Setting the fastest laps in practice? Really, that's your basis for how good he is? The ifs and buts of what might be also amount to nothing because they are based on your opinion of what may or may not occur, not on actual events. He changes lines up during the race to keep from being passed. It doesn't mean he sees the track differently or better, it means he's been passed a lot and has learned to anticipate where the next one may come. Like James, he's a decent enough rider who has had some success, a ton of hype, and little to show for it outside of a championship or two a long time ago and an occasional win here and there. In the rookie class, no less.

He can train hard, he just didn't do it because he didn't have a ride until the last second. He can train hard, but it doesn't have the same results as other riders because of his diet. His body doesn't dispose of food the same way a normal body does. He has to eat several small meals a day and during a race his body starves for energy because he can't eat enough.

IMO, yes he is the best rider, he has freaky JMB type of natural talent, the guy is so fluid and smooth its just stupid.

Is Valley dropping him? Pourcel is probably one of the most technically skilled riders in the lites class I swear he has eyes in the back of his head

I do enjoy watching how smooth he is on a bike. He makes it look effortless. But, he competes in a sport that requires results and as good as he can ride, he falls short of others. Riding pretty doesn't equal Championships, or even wins.
