Airbox slots in side covers

Has anyone else considered stuffing some foam into the airbox slots on their wr450 after removing the airbox snorkels?  I'm just thinking ahead for deeper puddles/creek crossings and thinking about keeping water where it belongs--on the outside.

Foam will just slow down the enevitable.

 

Close them off if you are concerned.

I agree.

There is no way to keep water out AND have a halfway functional flowing airbox.

You could put a big old honking snorkel coming out the rear fender.

Retro fit something off a Jeep!
