How far should forks be through the top yolk on SM ?

Recommended Posts

I found all the settings for the clickers in my manual, and suggested settings for my weight on my new to me 2008 (K7) SM.

But what i cant find is how far through the top yolks the forks should be.

Anyone know the factory setting / what the Dizzer works best with, or give me some words of wisdom ?

Rear sag, front sag, tire size and riding style will have an effect on where to set the fork height....so it's hard to give an exact number, but I set mine 7mm above the clamp.

cap flush with the tripple on mine...but maybe I should lower it a bit(2-3mm)

feeling is vague..but it's mainly a commuter so it doesn't bother me.

Sevenfourate - sorry for creating any confusion. The picture I posted is of my current set-up where I have raised the fork tubes in the clamps to help with corner turn-in. If the fork tube groove you saw is flush with the top yoke - that is the factory position (height).
