2009 rmz 250 is it a good bike ?

Recommended Posts

Do they have any issues like weak gearboxes or crankcases ?

Might be buying one and looking for a bit of advice ?

It all comes down to price and future plans.. gonna race, want only cheap thrills, or is it a project bike? It all comes down to what YOU want, no one else

Getting if for a decent price , not going to be racing , will be some mx tracks and trails .

Boy says he has spent £900 on it this year .

How much is he asking for it? I recently purchased a used 2008 RM-Z250. Had to do a tune up and a few updates, but overall it seems like a pretty solid bike. From the reviews I have read, the 2008-2009 RMZs handle better than the others in its class, however, it does lack a little power.

My old 2008 rmz250 i just sold was a good bike, reliable.. never had any issues with shifting or starting. Treated me so good i bought another RM-Z instead of switching brands.

Went and viewed the bike , and brought it home :)

Took it for a good test ride to check all gears and they all seem nice and tight and fine .

Starts easy hot and cold.

Guy had spent £900 on engine work at beginning of year and had receipts .

Seems quite short and small compared to my old 06 ktm 250 sx .

Seems a lot easier to handle and ride . Quite happy :)

Congrats !! Nice rm-z. I ran 15w-50 in my 2008 and never had any shifting or engine issues.

Sound will look into that ;)
