Recommended Posts

im restoring an 00 kx250 and need footpegs. Im wondering if any other footpegs from any different bikes might fit it so that I can test different heights, offsets, etc. Im buying stock pegs as well but itd be nice to have options.

I've got a 2000 kx250 as well and pretty much the only companies I've seen that make after market pegs for the 99-02 kx is IMS and DRC. I think Moose does too but it seems the aftermarket kind of slacked when it came to the 99-02 KX's. It's hard to find anything for those years. I've been on the search for things like pegs, clutch covers, disc guards, seats, brake pedals, shifters, wheel sets and such and everything is either OEM or made for 92-98 & 2003 up. Both DRC and IMS make a few different height and offset. I've just been buying used OEM and filing them to sharpen and spraying them with a rattle can. If some good machined pegs like Flo or Warp9 from the '03+ or for different bikes can be made to fit please chime in.

Very nice! That's exactly what I'm talking about. Thanks for the tip.

I am very very happy with the pegs. I have them on my KX and my KTM race bike. They just flat out work for the money...bigger area to stand, great grip, lighter than stock, can take huge hits from rocks and tree's and most likely being a Tusk product it's a quality company they put there name on.

Yes it's hard to find parts for the 99-02 KX's but with a little work on the interweeebs and some grinding you can get things to work. eBay and rocky mtn atv help mucho. I have been thankful... I have found the parts needed for my 2001 KX 250 that I wanted/needed to make awesome. Excel rims, magura hydro clutch, all racetech gold valves and racetech springs, sdg seat, hammerhead shifter, vforce 3 reeds, Hinson clutch, and make other items work on the bike.

Definitely a big thanks for the tips as well. SMV Ryder - How hard was it to install the Magura clutch and how well does it work? Was it a direct bolt on? I've been seriously eyeballing that and/or a Rekluse. I'm finding that riding in the woods now I use the clutch a hole lot more than i used to. Foot pegs are on the must have list since I've filed the hell out of my OEMs and I've got nothing but small nubs left.

04-05 KX250f, 06 KX450f, all KTM models but use your kx springs.  I really like the Pro Moto Billet/Fastway Evo 3 stainless pegs.  All of the referenced models take all the same part # peg and I have put them on a 2000 kx 250 with no problems.  If your frame mount is bent, you mat need to tweek it back.
