Need advise on cold weather missing problem

Recommended Posts

I rode friday when the temp was around 65f. It ran fine.

On sunday it was in the mid 30's and it would start missing about 1/4 throttle.

I changed the MJ from 172 to 180. It ran better for a short time then started missing again.

I had this same problem last fall when it was cold.

Any help would be appreciated.

try the PAJ Screw. this goes in the belmouth face of the carb. the one you have at present is a 75 if it's still got all the pipes etc on the side. it should be at least a No 100, a No 125 would be even better.

the slow speed circuit is an enrichening circuit. the more air we introduce, the more fuel it will pick up. it's fast, it's well atomized (mixed).

your main jet should be taken back to how you had it. it's too rich up top. you've used a full throttle answer to a 1/4 throttle problem.
