TC#41 VS ET#3

Recommended Posts

Eli would probably improve if he was given KYB suspension to use too. He was fast yesterday but he kept doing stupid stuff.

Trey is the clear choice, he's had better results and there is NO QUESTION which one can withstand the pressure better. Canard clearly is the better choice.

Either one of.them is an awesome choice. I believe the team should have been dungey on a 250, canard on a 450, and tomac in open. Tomac will attack on any sized bike, dungey has amazing corner speed and consistency, and canard is as fast as anyone in the 450.

Forget this sending a 250 rider, unless hes legitimately faster than all other choices.

Can't go wrong with either one. Could have left Dungey home and took both. He needs a break from MXDN.

I'm a Canard fan but I still think Eli was the right choice, maybe next year with TC, he's starting to really get on a roll...Hope he stays HEALTHY!

Overcast, you're stuck in a tree branch.

HIGH tree branch, and his spiderwire wrapped around it at least three times. Scratch that lure.

Bingo!  That's the X-factor for Canard.

I can't believe he's come back from his injuries and has done this well.  But, it had been a while since he's made it through an entire season and been this consistent.

Hopefully he can keep it going next season in SX and outdoors.

You must be trolling, because the facts do not back up your opinion.  Tomac came back to the series at Round 4, Muddy Creek.  Here is the comparison of results from that point, up to the point that the MXDN team was named, prior to Unadilla.

MC1 - Tomac 22s ahead of Trey. Fast laps about the same

MC2 - Tomac 24s ahead of Trey. Tomac best lap 2.5s faster

RB1 - Trey 5s ahead of Tomac. Tomac best lap 1.0s faster

RB2 - Tomac 27s ahead of Trey. Trey best lap .5s faster

BC1 - Trey 0.9s ahead of Trey. Fast laps about the same

BC2 - Tomac 10s ahead of Trey. Tomac best lap almost 2s faster

SC1 - Tomac 30s ahead of Trey. Tomac best lap 1.5s faster

SC2 - Tomac 27s ahead of Trey. Tomac best lap 1.1s faster

WSH1 - Tomac 45s ahead of Trey. Tomac best lap 1.4s faster

WSH2 - Tomac 1:45s ahead of Trey. Tomac best lap 6s faster (crash for Trey this race)

So, in the 10 motos that Tomac was back for, prior to the team being named, Tomac beat Trey in 8 out of 10 motos.  The 2 motos that Trey beat Tomac in...he was ahead by 5s and 0.9s.  In the motos that Tomac was ahead, he was ahead by 22, 24, 27, 10, 30 and 27 seconds.  Yeah, Trey was clearly better.

Even if you factor in Unadilla, that does nto change things much.  That weekend was a wash between them.

UD1 - Tomac 18s ahead of Trey. Tomac best lap 2.5s faster

UD2 - Trey 11s ahead of Tomac. Tomac best lap 0.8s faster

So, if you were Roger DeCoster, and charged with making the decision prior to Unadilla, please explain how Trey was the better choice.  Finally, there is the Xfactor with Kegums being similar to Spring Creek.  How did Trey compare to Tomac at Spring Creek?
